Stage 5 Silver

Intermediate Personal Survival & Stroke Refinement Skills

The basics of diving will be covered. At higher levels, the development of personal survival knowledge and rescue techniques will also continue. In order to finish stage 5, children will need to exhibit effective stroke techniques.

Clothing Requirement

In order to replicate the increased weight and limitations of regular clothing in actual water situations, participants in Stage 5 dress in long pants and a t-shirt. By increasing the drag and resistance that students encounter while swimming and practicing survival skills, this stage aims to push them.

Activities like swimming through hoops, treading water, and surface diving are made more difficult by the heavier clothes. Participants have a better understanding of the physical strain of swimming while wearing garments and how to modify their swimming technique to save energy thanks to this added challenge. This phase equips them to deal with unforeseen water crises under more challenging and practical circumstances.
