Basic rescue techniques and personal survival principles are taught. Sculling, underwater skills, and personal flotation device use are among the abilities. Swimming 50 meters continuously is the aim.
Clothing Requirement
While the tasks in Stage 3 get more complicated, the attire requirement stays the same. In addition to fitting a personal flotation device (PFD) while wearing clothing, participants must swim 25 meters. Students may need to put on life-saving gear in the water as part of the actual survival exercises that are the focus of this stage.
At this stage, wearing clothing mimics real-life situations, like falling into the water and having to stay afloat while being weighed down by wet clothing. This aids in the development of the mental and physical fortitude required to carry out survival duties in trying situations.
